Below, you'll find a few released prompts from each of the three categories of essay styles you'll find on the AP exam (rhetorical analysis, synthesis, and argument). I have also included a few videos that explain how to approach the prompts (argument video coming soon). Please keep in mind that the prompts may look a little different on this year's exam; also, most of the sample responses were scored with the old 9-point rubric, but they still contain an example a of a high-, mid-, and low-scoring essay.
